Content on VanLifeUK.com, including guides, blog posts, place suggestions, photographs, forum links, and comments, is for general information and community discussion. It is not professional legal, financial, mechanical, or safety advice. Road conditions, access rules, campsite policies, and local laws change; you must confirm details before you travel or stay anywhere.

2. Vans for sale listings

Where we publish or link to vehicles for sale:

  • The seller is the Listing Party, not VanLifeUK;
  • We do not guarantee that descriptions, prices, photographs, mileage, ownership documents, or history are accurate or complete;
  • We do not inspect vehicles unless we clearly state otherwise on a specific listing;
  • Any sale is a private or commercial transaction solely between seller and buyer.

Before you buy, you should independently check: vehicle identity (VIN), registered keeper, outstanding finance, stolen status, MOT and tax status, service history, accident damage, camper conversion compliance, gas and electrical safety where applicable, and arrange an inspection or HPI-style check if appropriate. Meet in a safe location and never send deposits without verifying the seller and vehicle.

3. Rental and hire listings

Where we publish or link to campervan or motorhome rentals:

  • The rental provider is the Listing Party, not VanLifeUK;
  • Insurance cover, excess, breakdown assistance, mileage limits, cross-border rules, and driver age requirements are set by the provider - read the rental agreement carefully;
  • Any hire contract is solely between the rental provider and the renter (rentee).

Before you rent, confirm insurance validity for your intended use, licence requirements, deposit and cancellation terms, collection and return procedures, and the condition of the vehicle on handover. Document existing damage with photos and ensure you receive adequate instruction on onboard systems.

4. No agency or endorsement

Publication of a listing does not mean we recommend, endorse, or have verified the Listing Party. We are not agents for sellers or rental companies and we do not negotiate on your behalf.

5. Third-party websites and advertising

The Site may contain links to third-party websites and display third-party advertisements (including Google ads). We are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices. Your dealings with advertisers are at your own risk.

6. Community and user content

Opinions expressed in articles, comments, or linked forum discussions are those of the authors, not necessarily VanLifeUK. User content may be inaccurate or out of date.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VanLifeUK excludes liability for loss or damage arising from reliance on Site content or from any transaction or dispute between you and a Listing Party or other user. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
