We recently stayed at Trevedra Farm Caravan & Camping Site near Sennen in Penzance, Cornwall in our campervan, and it's probably one of the nicest campsites we've stayed at in this part of Cornwall. The site is only about a mile from Land's End, another lovely location that's definitely worth a visit if you get the chance.

Our stay at Trevedra Farm

So, what can I tell you about Trevedra Farm campsite in Cornwall? Well, for a start, it's really nice and has some fantastic views. We booked a pitch with a sea view, and there's not much better than opening the back doors of the campervan in the morning, lying on the bed and looking out over the sea with a cup of coffee. We also had lovely countryside views from the sliding door of the van. Sitting outside in the evening, cooking dinner and relaxing with a nice cold beer was a real treat.

The campsite and pitches

The site itself was nice and clean, with plenty of shower cubicles, toilets, washing facilities and a launderette. The grass was kept nice and short, and all of the pitches we saw had electric hook-up. There were also grey-waste facilities and fresh-water taps dotted around the site, so everything we needed during our stay was easily accessible.

The pitches were relatively level and we didn't need to use our levelling ramps. They were also a generous size, with plenty of room if you have an awning or a tent. The pitch we stayed on was a grass pitch. I didn't personally notice any hard-standing pitches during our stay; there were caravans using levelling ramps. The ground was mostly level, so we had no problems with our pitch.

Getting to the campsite

Reception is as you drive into the site, so it's nice and easy to find when you arrive. We were travelling in our campervan and had no problems with the roads leading to the campsite. There was nothing that caused us any issues getting there or getting around in the van.

Wi-Fi and mobile signal

There is free Wi-Fi on the site. They give you the password once you've booked and paid for your pitch. Although we had access to the site Wi-Fi, I found that normal mobile internet worked fine during our stay as well. That's a major plus for us, as a lot of sites we've stayed on have next to no mobile signal.

Walking to the beach

The beach is only around a 10-15 minute walk from the site. We walked towards the beach during our stay and came across a fairly steep, tight and winding path leading down to it. We decided not to continue down the path and walked back to the campsite instead. The beach itself looked really nice, and we could see people walking their dogs down there.

The steep and narrow path is something I'd bear in mind if you're less mobile, particularly as it would mean walking back up the same steep path afterwards. There are also e-bikes available to rent at Trevedra Farm. We didn't get a chance to rent one during this trip, but it's on our to-do list if we visit again.

How busy was the campsite?

We stayed in late September/early October and the site was nice and quiet while we were there. It's also dog friendly, which is another plus if you're travelling with your dog. We paid £34.16 per night for our pitch, which I thought was good value considering the location and the facilities. I can imagine the site being considerably busier during the summer months, particularly given how beautiful the location is.

Shop and café

There is also a shop and café on site. We visited the shop during our stay, although we didn't try the café, so I can't really comment on the food.

Land's End

One of the big advantages of staying at Trevedra Farm is its location. Land's End is only around a mile away, making it very easy to visit while you're staying at the campsite. It's another lovely part of Cornwall and definitely worth visiting if you get the chance.

Would we stay again?

Absolutely. Based on our stay, I'd happily come back to Trevedra Farm if we were visiting this part of Cornwall again. The views were probably the biggest highlight for us, but the clean facilities, decent-sized pitches, quiet surroundings and proximity to the beach and Land's End all add to what is already a really nice campsite. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.
